Show FUNERAL SERVICES HELD SATURDAY FOR MRS. MARGARET DAVIS Amid a bower of flowers at the East Ward chapel in Beaver Saturday Satur-day afternoon, and attended by a large concourse of loving friends and relatives, funeral services were held for Mrs. Margaret A. Davis, who passed away at her home in Beaver on August 10th. The services were conducted by C. Dennis White. The opening prayer was given by Samuel Hutchings, followed by a quartet selection by Kent Morgan Alvin Baker, R. C. Murdock and Milo Baker. A tribute from the East Ward Relief Re-lief Society was given by Jane Mun-ford, Mun-ford, while Miss Florence Woodhousa rendered a solo, "I know that My Redeemer Lives." Words of sympathy and consolation consola-tion were spoken by Bishop White, George Parkinson and J. F. Tolton. As a closing number a solo by Wendell Fernley was given, and the closing prayer by William Morgan. The grave was dedicated by C. D. White. Mrs. Davis was born February 4th, 1860 at Salt Lake City, the daughter of David and Margaret Fife Miller. When a young child they moved to Greenville where as a young woman she met and married Thomas B. Davis Dav-is in the St. George Temple, Nov. 19, 1879. They resided in Greenville until un-til 1886 when they moved to Milford. In 1895 they came to Beaver and have lived here ever since. Nine children, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren blessed their union. Surviving are her husband, hus-band, Thomas B. Davis, two daughters, daugh-ters, Mrs. Nell Patterson and Kathleen Kath-leen Davis, three sisters, Mrs. Mary J. Blackner, Mrs. Sarah E. Barton of Greenville, Mrs. Martha A. Hurst and one brother Wm. A. Miller of Beaver. Among those from out-of-town in attendance at the services were John Miller and son, of Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Ted Davis, from Hinckley; and many friends from Milford and nearby communities. |
