Scouts attended the West Jordan stake Father-So- n banquet Saturday evening in Riverton First ward and won a prize for their table decoration. Theme: Our Heritage. Owing to the blizzard that closed the Riverton road to Herriman last Friday, the Herriman community wishes to thank the residents of Riverton who opened their homes to the boys and girls until they Ann Page and Beverly Beck. All locations are from oLecjai FJotlce Penny Drive For Chil dren's Hospital The appeal for funds for the Primary Children's hospital in Salt Lake, is made during February of each year, when adults and children are asked to give a penny or more for each year they have lived. Primary workers in the various LDS wards have been making a house to house canvass. The Primary Children's hospital was es tablished to treat afflicted children without regard to race, creed or color. Last year, hospital bed care was provided for 650 children, In the outpatient department 1,439 treatments were given. Mr & Mrs Merland Despain, Riverside, Calif., in renewing their Sentinel, reported the weather there was perfect, with temperatures in the 70's and 80's. They also wrote that, they liked California and were attending a new LDS ward chapel. Elder M. Eugene Cowley, son of Mr & Mrs Melvin Cowley, serving in the New England mission of the LDS church is in Lawrence, Mass.
