We have had our share of winter this year, but when one reads reports from other sections of the USA, unusual weather has prevailed everywhere. New Subdivision v Plans Abandoned Because of too much difference of opinion among property owners, Midvale city's proposal for a new division of winding streets and a shopping area in that area north of Sixth Ave., has been abandoned, and the original plan of two or three straight streets will be followed At a meeting of the property-owner- s and the city planning board, with Casper A. Nelson in charge, the concensus of opinion among those owning the property was that they could not, or would not, give any more of their prop- erty for the required than contemplated in the original rights-of-wa- y plan. The proposed plan called for an elaborate system of winding streets, with a future shopping area at the north end, and was drawn up by George Smeath, city planning consultant for Midvale.
