J. Welch of Midvale , which took place Friday evening , October 22, in the Salt Lake LDS temple. The marriag e ceremon y was perform ed by President Broadbe nt of the temple. Immedic .tely followin g the marriage the member s of the family were entertai ned at the home of Mayor and Mrs. Welch at 49 Locust street, Midvale . The bnde was lovely in a becoming model of white satin, fashione d with long tight fittinr bodice, and full gathered skirt entrain. Her finger tip veil of bride's illusion was edged in lace, and caught in a cornet of seeded pearls. Her flowers were gardenias, sweetpe as and rosebuds . A wedding party honoring the couple was given Thursda y evening of this week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Welch on Jefferso n street, Midvale . The bride and groom are both graduate s of the Jordan high school in Sandy. The groom is a member of the United States army and has been statione d at Camp Roberts, Calif., since June. He , is spending a furlough with his parents and wife, before returnin g next week to his new assignm ent in Californ ia. The bride is employe d at the Jordan drug store in Sandy. Beehive Girls Meet With Mrs. Miller • Member s of the Beehive Girls of Midvale First LDS ward met &t the home of Mrs. Beverly Millel·, 511 East Center street, Tuesday night. The Hallowe en motif was carried out in the decorati ons, and 10 guests enjoyed an evening of entertai nment and refreshments. Mary Hyke is the teacher Qf the Beehive class. The chorus sang "Open the Gates of the Temple, " "The Lord's Pr&.yer," "Sing for Joy" and "Lord of Heaven. " Speaker s included Presiden t Burgan, Mrs. Mary Milne, stake superint endent of Young Women' s MIA, and Wesley Nance of the Young Men's MIA, former bishops, Raymon d H.
