The Autumn quarter of Brigham Young University came to a close at Provo, December 3, making the most successful autumn quarter ever held at the University from the point of view of attendance. The dosing day, as usual, was marked by the annual battle betweer the freshmen and the upper classmen. Activities .of the classes began at 11:30 when thli! upper dassmer oolted the freshmen program and be-took themselves to the Ladies' gymnasium where an orchestra awaited them to furnish music for an informal dance The freshmen proceeded with their program. !Later the two lower classes came together in physical combat to determine which possessed the strongest men. Boxing and wrestling were used in these events after the sopho· mo:re.s declined to meet .the freSihmen in a fia.g rush. No injuries of any moment resulted.
