Small boys acted at pall· bearers and the girls of the Bluebird circle of the Primary assisterl with the flowers. Interment was in the Midvale City Cemetery. Monday evening, a hard lo-oking character b:y the name of Harry Boyle, age 40, was arrested and lodged in the city jail for safe keeping. He was operating on the sidewalk~ of East Center Street and was accosting and assaulting women. The city police were no.tified nnd F. D. Canning appeared on the scene and took Mr. Hard Boil in charge. He had about six months growth of W1hiskers and hair on hia pper story and was otherwise un. couth and unclean. Tnesday morning ~en engaged,' in conversation by City Marshal Roy Steadman, he let slip s'Ome very choice remarks and during the day Tuesday, admitted having assaulted women and committing varidll!g crimes in and around El Centro, Imperial Valley, California. The City Marshall wired E1 Centro for vertification. BROTHER OF MAYOR SPENDS WEEK IN MIDV ALI~ LIONS CLUB MEETING A SMELTER NIGHT AFFAIR Last Thursday evening, the Lions Club meeting in Midvale was in the nature of appreciation nilght in honor of the U. S. Smelter's Midvale plant. .., Each Lion gave a short talk on roll call concernii!l1.' the Smelter and Mr. Geo. A. Wright, general foreman at the Flotation Mill, told about the processes in use there and followed the ore from entrance to exit. Supt. Robt. Wallace, of the Smelter, supplemented Mr. Wright's remarks and v'Diced his appreciati{)n of the loyal.ty of •town and community in their behalf. We have a wonderful asset in the Smelter and the new Fletation Plant rig-ht in our midst, folks. Inspect it, talk it, appreciate it.
