Show THE JORDAN West Jordan ... 4 Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Cundick and children spent Sunday visiting at Draper. Sam Cundick, Jr., of Tooele, spent the week end with his parents. Bill Johnson of Portola, Cal., is visiting his father for .two weeks. Earl Warner, the twelve year old son of Mrs. John Warner came near meeting with a fatal accident Sunday a:£ternoon. He was riding his bicycle on Redwood road near his home wtih Alice Madsen on the handle bars wlhen he lost control of his whel and they were thrown to the pavement directly in the path ot a car comtng from Bingham. Earl was knocked unconscious, a broken nose and other bruises. Alice escaped with many bruises, otherwise they are doing fine. Alice is from Magna but is visiting •her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Hibbard. After spending the last eight months in Logan where he has attended the A. C. Roscoe Pixton is home to stay the rest of the summer. ,. Mrs. Lydia Bateman, Ross and Lucile Bateman, Mrs. E .M. Bateman .and son Keith and Myrtle Cundick visited at Magna Sunday. They were luncheon guests of Mr. and Mrs. H. 0. Bateman. • The Draper young men came and played the West Jordan young men Wednesday afternoon. Score 14-5 in West Jordan's favor. Mrs. Tommie N erdine and children, Melba, Donna, Jal, Mrs. Henderson of Bingham spent Wednesday evening visiting Mrs. Lydia Bateman. Robert Gardner lost approximately $4,000 when his large barn and all its contents were consumed by fire Thursday afternoon. There was only $500 insurance. Cause of fire is unknow:n. Robert Williams of Pleasant Grove is spending a week visiting with Ross Bateman. The marriage of H. A. Martin and Drusilla Price, of Idaho, ras just been announced. Drusilla is well Jmown among the young people of this ward and is a granddaughter of Irs. Lizzie Gardner. Miss Laura Donnett of Salt Lake is spending the week as the guest of Melba Gardner. Mrs. E. Bateman and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Cockyne, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Egbert attended a party at Riverton Monday nighat the home of Mr. and Mrs. Rolland Page, given in honor of Mr. Page's birthday anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. William Thomas and family bf Blackfoot, Idaho, visited with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Pixton Saturday. Mildred Sanderson of Salt Lake, Genevieve Hand, Zelda and Ardell Llayd of Sandy spent the week end as guests of Berniece Bateman. A large number of West Jordan people went to South Jordan the 24th to witness the sham battle between the pioneers and Indians which was well partrayed and gave credit to the. ward and was enjoyed by all that had the opportunity to see it.
