In Draper the pioneers in the business are deserving much credit for making it what it now is. Perhaps our readers are familiar with conditions where each man works by himself on the basis "Every body for himself and the devil for us all." Any lessons learned by experience are held as secrets by th,ose who were fortunate enough to master them, and are guarded as the primary factors of the survival of the wise while the unf~rtunate fail in the business. Analysis of this doctrine has proven it. to be an error in business, and the Draper poultrymen who have been the pioneers have recognized that their experience was worth more when used as the basis for a big I PUBLISHED BY DRAPER CIVIC CLUB. POULTRYMEN TO !\tEET JUNE 19 The regular m•-eting of Draper poultrymen will be held in Club hall Saturday, June 19. Besides the regular business and some special business, plans are being made to have a discussion for growing pullet and fattening cockrells. The poultrymen of Draper noiW have aboue two carloads of cockrells of marketable size anrl plans are under way to !>hip out a carload this week and another car in the near future. Draper poultrymen are selling their cockrells cooperatively and are receiving the best market price for them. The shellt>d peas, from the Draper vines are hauled to the main Twin Peas factory at Murray in auto trucks. There are no peas being shelled at Murray this year, but peas from Butler, Brinton, Holliday, Taylorsville and Draper are canned there. The Draper crop is now furnishing about half of the peas canned at the Murray plant and by June 20 Draper will be supplying all the peas. As ROOn as the early crop Is 1harveste-d the late peas will be re-ady, and Mr. Stone, manager of the Draper viners, reports that the >:helling- will go on continuously until all the peas are harvested.
