Da.ncing followed. Mrs. E. J, Knowles was hostess to members of the Art club Friday at her home on Ea.st Center street. Refreshments were served following a bUlly hour. Thursday of last week Misa Honore Stagg, Mrs. H. E. Phelps, Mrs. R. R. Fenn a.nd Mrs. J. H. Aylett were the guests at a Bridge luncheon given at the home of Mrs. M. J. Joy of Tooele. Mrs. W. B. Jones and children spent Monday and Tueeday in Midvale en route to their home in Hiawatha from a two weeks visit at the coast. A regular meeting of the L. F. A. club was held at the home of Mrs. W. F. Wanberg Wednesday evening of last week. Following a bUBtness meeting, games were played. The prizes were won by Mrs. Roy Steadman and Mrs. Merle E. Brown. Refreshments were served by Mrs. Wa.nberg. Mrs. Elizabeth Cottrell of Draper was in Midvale early in the week at the home of her daughter, Mrs. M. E. Brown. Saturday, the 15th the Stake Primary Board will conduct a "Pet and Hobby" show at the Midvale First ward church for the Primary child· The parade will ren of the stak~. commence at 3 p. m. and it Is expected that the children will have a large assortment of their pets, etc., there for the show and parade. Sunday, the 16th, is Stake Union meeting day at the High School. At 1:30 p. m. tne High Prie11ts of the Quorum meettng for one hour. This meeting was formerly held at the Sandy First ward on the la.st Sunday of each month, 8.11 was the meeting of the Bishopric and Stake Presidency At 2 :30 p. m. the regular monthly Union Meeting will commence and during the department sessions the Stake Presidency, High Council and Bishoprics with their clerks will hold their regular monthly meeting. Full attendance is requested of all these officers of the Stake and ward. Wednesday, the 19th, the regular High Council meeting will be held in the usual place. A Stake Priesthood convention will be held September 23, the place and time will be anounced later. Thursday, the 13th, all the Religion Classes a.nd Junior Seminary classes of the Stake will commence their winter work in accordance with the new appointment !rom the General Authorities of the church. This is a lovely spot for a picnic and a well planned entertainment was carried out following the work and business meeting. A luncheon was served at one long table which was bright with a profusion of summer fl.owers. The guests were members of the Union Relief Society, Mrs. H. c. Aylett and Mrs. Janet Muir of the Stake board and Mrs. J, A. Aylett.
