He was mission president of the Christiania conference on hili second mission, and later he was transferred to Denmark to preside over the Aarhus conference near his old home. On hil return journey to the United State• Mr. Rasmussen encircled the globe viliting Sweden, Finland, Russia, Siberia, Japan, China, Sandwich Islands, and landed in San Francisco. Mr. Rasmussen has been a resident of Midvale since 1917, and the people here have learned to respect his genuine character as the people of Draper did. He Is a valuable citizen as he has been among the backers of every movement for religious and civic advancement, giving generously and willingly of his time and money. In addition, no one can estimate the extent of his private charities; as no one In need has solicited aid from him and come away empty handed. Mr. Rasmussen's life has not been fUll of unusual adventures or bits of luck. The Farm Bureau went on their annual inspection tour Friday. The Utah-Idaho Sugar Co., gave a watermellon bust at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Hansen. Mrs. David Sorensen of Denver formerly Miss Lola Hansen, left Satur~ day for her home at Denver, Colo. Mr. and Mrs. Mahonri Butterfield and children spent three days up Rose canyon. Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Morgan and famIly returned home Saturday after spending two months at Kaysville. Mr. and Mrs. Elorum Tlschner entertained at dinner last Monday In honor of Mr. and Mrs. Heber C. Webb and sons of Salt Lake and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Beckstead and daughter of South Jordan. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Peterson and children returned home Friday after spending nine days in Wyoming and Nebraska. Mr. and Mrs. John Wheeler and daughter, Ada Bell of Moore, Ida., spent Monday and Tuesday as guests of Mr. and Mrs. Zach Butterfield. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas L. Densley, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Battison, Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Miller, Mr. and Mrs. Wll!ord Crane and Mr. and Mrs. Leo Lloyd formed a party and attended the dance at the Old Mill club at Big Cottonwood canyon Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Elorum Tlschner had as their week-end guests, Mr. and Mrs. H. S. Horman of Almeda, Cal. Mr. and Mrs. I. E. Freeman and daughters, Nora and Mary, and so.ns Weldon, La Rain attended the fam1ly reunion of Hanz Sorensen of Sho Shone, Ida., at the Salmon River Summit last week. Mr. and Mrs. Freeman spent ten days visiting at Sho Shone, Rupert and Burley, Ida., the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Sorensen, Mr. and Mrs. J. 0. Freeman and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Swan. Mrs. A. B. Thomas of Salt Lake spent ten days at the home of Mr. and Mrs. I. E. Freeman visiting where her daughter Delight and son Lenard with their friends spent the week-end. Butterfield and Mrs. Ella Butterfield. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Lloyd and children spent four days last week at Upalco. Miss Esther Rindelsbach and John Lang of Sandy were married last Friday. Mrs. Reuben Sorensen and children of Draper spent three days as the guests of her father, Mr. George H. Dansie. Mr. and Mrs. William Mason and children spent Monday as guests of Mrs. Rosa Lovendahl. Mr. and Mrs. John Hansen entertained at a dinner party at Pinecrest Inn last Friday in honor of their daughter, Mrs. David Sorensen.
