The game was exceptional for junior high football. Midvall!'s team did good work on end runs while Bingham excelled in plunging. The interference of the Tiger backs made possible long gains. Sam Pedro and Blake Fordham alternated in sweeping the ends, and Vincent Strong plugged at the line. Jack Martin at tackle for Bingham played exceptionall y well. This game is the second Midvale has won. Draper, Sandy and Riverton follow each week in the order named. MIDVALE SCHOOL LIBRARY By Winnifred McDonald The happy family of · books at the Midvale school library is traveling among the students, lending service and help in the form of character building, knowledge and entertainment. In this family there are such nighty reference books as: Comp·.on's Knowledge, and the Wonder rlook of Knowledge. There are autoJiographies, biographies , and books designed to make a reader successful. There are books on etiquette and good manners, books on science and invention and then a great group of novels. 'l'he teachers of the school are helping the students select their )ooks wisely, and so parents can ·est assured that books their children are reading from the school library are worth while. THE PLATOON SYSTEM Beatrice Rasmussen, 5B \Vhen we started the platoon system in the lower grades, we had many difficulties in the beginning of it. eW were very noisy and did not march correctly. We got confused in changing from room to room and having so many different teachers. We lil<e this system very much and I think we are learning more rapidly by it. We have an attractive hall with beautiful pictures and flowers. \Ve all like our teachers and school very much.
