Grant of Lyman, Wyoming, Mr. Byron Grant of Driggs, Idaho, Miss Alice Burkinshaw and Mr. and Mrs. Grant Crump and Son, Delbert, of Sandy. Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Rawlings, the Misses Vivian and Beth Rawlings and Mr. and Mrs. Ross Beckstead of Bingham were dinner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Raddon. Meeting at the First ward Sunday evening was under the auspices of the home missionaries. Special numbers included, piano solo, Miss Francis Gardner; talk, "The Need of Missionary Work at Home," by Mrs. Alice Crapo; cornet ::;olo, Dorothy Greenwood, accompanied on the piano by Ella Greenwood; vocal solo, Mr. J. C. Crapo; talk, Henry Jorgenson; piano solo, Miss Elizabeth Anderson. Miss Vernetta Fewkes was the dinner guest of Miss Pearl Ostler Sunday. Sandy Odd Fellows entertained the Sandy Rebekahs and the Midvale Odd Fellows and Rebekahs at a card party in their hall on Center street Thursday evening. Five hundred was played and prizes were won by Mrs. Theodore Houston, Miss Lavetta Stuart, Frank Lundskog and L. E. Dupaix. Luncheon was served on small tables to 50 guests. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Vom Baur and daughter, Norene, of Salt Lake and Mr. and Mrs. Ben Thomas of Midvale were guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. 0. E. Vom Baur. The M. I. A. of the First ward will give an entertainment at the ward chapel Friday evening. A program, stunts and the dramatization of "The Old Family Album" will be featured. Mrs. Vernon Keller of Chicago, who has pent the summer visiting relatives in California and Utah, and Mrs. Charles Welling of Salt Lake were jllests at a dinner Wednesday given by Mrs. L. W. Sorenson and her sis·-.er, Miss Olive Edmunds, who is also visiting from Chicago. . Sandy First ward is planning a "Halloween Bazaar" to be held at the Sandy amusement hall Thursday and fi'riday, October 29 and 30. There will be a program, stunts, skits and dance. rhe Relief Society will take care of the booth of dry goods. The M. I. A. will have ice cream and candy; Sunday school, novelties; Primary, fish pond; Scouts, Spice of Life; Genealogical committee, pies; Elders, produce; Lesser Priesthood, bot dogs. Mr. and Mrs. ·Reuben Allsop, Mr. md Mrs. Roy Webster and Newell Ei"armer were guests at a party Saturday evening at Midvale when Mrs. Justin Pugmire entertained for her husband on his sixty-sixth birthday anniversary. The Misses Rachel and Emeline Grant left Thursday morning for Lyman, Wyoming where they will spend a week the guests of their brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Carter S. Grant. The Sandburr camp of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers held their opening meeting at the home of Mrs. Katie Mumford. Mrs. Katie Mumford and Mrs. Loretta Brown were the hostesses. The program consisted of singing, Oh Ye Mountains High; prayer, Chaplain Mabel Monahan; History of the organization of the Daug·hters of the Utah Pioneers was given by Mrs. Fern Hendrickson; vocal solo, Mrs. Vera Horne; Mrs. Ruth Nielson gave the history of her mother, Mn. William A. Martin; the lesson, "Western Scouts and Fur Trappers," was given by Mrs. Madge Stapley; Mrs. Pearl Shaw and Mrs. Ruth Nielson were voted in as new members. Luncheon was served to Mrs. Florence Webb, Mrs. Patience Charlier Mrs. Fern Hendrickson, Mrs. Madge Stapley, Mrs. Cordia Hendrickson, Mrs. Lavina Hansen, Mrs. Ethel Dastrup, Mrs. Mary Hansen, Mrs. Esther Hansen, Mrs. Rachel Jensen, Mrs. Mary E.
