At least that's the feeling of Russel Brown, Richard Coles, and a budding organization hoping to establish an arts council in the city of Midvale. "We want to create a cultural identity within Midvale," Brown reported recently. "We realize that there are a lot of very talented people in Midvale and we hope to bring them out and get them involved." Not only is the group looking for people representing as many art forms as possible, but also people in business, advertising, promotion, fund raising, event and accounting organizing, and journalism, bookkeeping, skills that form an arts council and keep it going. "We'll be pursuing such ideas as theater performances once or twice a year, art shows with local and artists, and visits ..by music and dance groups," Brown explained. "We feel it will help bring the city even closer together." Brown and Coles are excited about the response given by those that have been contacted so far, but they realize the idea is still in the formative stages. As more people become involved, they hope to map out more definite battle strategy. out-of-to- Schedule of Events WEDNESDAY AUGUST 8, 1984 Show: Ronn Cowley; Reenactment of Town Ray 347-940- ) Published weekly at 125 W.
