Show I n . f. , THE SENTINEL - South Jordan troop holds awards banquet Scouts, Varsity teams and parents, Explorers joined district scout leaders and friends for the Eagle awards banquet of Troop 939. Approximately 500 people were in attendance to celebrate the occasion, the largest ever to be held in South Jordan. Eighteen Eagle awards were presented along with 22 Eagle Palms, three Silver Moccasin awards, two Wood badges, and two Silver Beaver recognitions, the highest volunteer award in scouting. Eleven boys receiving Eagle awards were from the South Jordan eleventh ward, making it 100 percent Eagles since Craig Rasmussen took over the leadership of the troop. Those receiving awards are as follows: Eagle rank advancement Tyler Jack, Jeff Jarrard, David Hatch, William Lower Jr., Clint Bouck, Steve Bouck, Daxen semi-annu- Reflections winners at Sandy Elementary. HHS Key Club schedules stomp for this Friday The Hillcrest High Key Club is sponsoring a stomp on Friday, Mar. 2, from 8 to 11 p.m. The club is raising money for the "Marquee Restoration" project. Mrs Joe Bennett and Mrs Mike Mortensen are sisters. They live next to each other in West Jordan. And on the evening of Feb. they gave birth to a baby boy and a baby girl respectively, just 10 hours apart. The boy is the first child of Mr and Mrs Joe Bennett, while for the Mortensens it's their fourth child.
