Show THE SENTINEL Jordan, Hillcrest win girls region track titles The girls track team from Jordan High scored a victory in the final event of the day to claim the Region Six title in action staged at South High , School over the past weekend. The Jordan mile relay team of Liz . Schneiter, Charlinn Lord, Karen Taylor, and Laurie Piper defeated the team from South by nearly 20 yards, breaking a tie and giving the Beetdiggers a 101 15-9- 9 15 edge. Meanwhile, Hillcrest's ladies took another step toward a state trophy by winning the Region Two meet held at Alta Friday ami RahirHnv VTillrocf anfast nn with 157 points, while second place Alta was at 103. Bingham was third with 62 followed by Taylorsville at 54, Brighton at 49, Kearns at 39, and West Jordan at 24.
