She accompanied her grandson, Richard Nepolis, Granger, to Vernal and returned with her grand daughter, Jerry Fife, Gran 5 Allgood 244-624- j j Childrens& Student CORDS COUNCIL MEETS Cottonwood Heights Com-- j Council went on munity record with a statement favoring the completion of the 1215 in the present corridor with interchanges as proposed in the Alternate 6. The council members expressed the feeling that this would have the least impact on the environment. Surveys completed by the council showed that more residents in the area preferred the present corridor to other alternatives. A letter was also prepared which explained the difference between the Cottonwood Heights Community Council and Cottonwood, Inc. The latter group is opposed to the completion ot the treeway. In other business at the July meeting a report was made on the progress of the shopping center located at 7000 South and 2300 East. A September opening is planned tor the new Skaggs, Saieway, Multi-storand bank complex. Hillside Plaza Associates are the developers. They have dropped the level ot the buildings so that views of the existing homes will not be obstructed. They also plan to use shielded lights. Bob Barney is the manager and Bob Tippets is project mana ger for the firm. Plans for a family oriented bicentennial celebration in 1976 were discussed. All homes wil be urged to display the flag on July 4. Residents will be encouraged to clean up their yards and make red, white and blue plantings in their flower beds if possible.
