Those who attended from neighboring communities were Mr & Mrs Edward Kidder (Mrs Kidder will be remembered as the former Dorothy Cunningham) Mr & Mrs Edward Kidder, Jr., Kearns, Mr & Mrs Robert Kidder, Salt Lake City, Mr & Mrs Dean Lipsey, Midvale, and Mr & Mrs Paul Lyon. 40 Beth Westwood Home From European Tour j,Miss Beth Westwood, daughter of Mr & Mrs Richard West-woo- arrived home recently from an eight-weetour of Europe. The tour which was sponsored by the Utah Council of Foreign Language Teachers consisted of five weeks of sightseeing throughout Europe and three weeks of study at the University of Grenoble in France. The students had the opportunity of studying the French language, history and customs. 150 students representing high schools throught the state of Utah were included in the group. Seldon Daniels, son of Mr & Mi's S M. Daniels of Riverton, along with Miss West-woorepresented Bingham High k d School. Mr Carl Mrs & Mr & Mrs Joseph Shaw and children, Randy, David and and Mr & Mrs Roy Shaw and their two children, Nolan and (Wane, are enjoying a week's stay at Bear Lake. The Shaw families will spend their time boating, water skiing and camping. Vacationing in Denver Colo., this week are Mr & Mrs Clifford Justensen and their daughter, Judy. Also listed among vacationers of the past week are Mr & Mrs Ernest Anderson and family and Mr & Mrs Ross Bateman. New residents of West Jordan Third Ward are the Ken Cook family. Mr & Mrs Willis Goodridge have been vacationing in California. En route the Goodridges stopped at Boulder City, Nev., to visit with Mable Bywater, who is Mr Goodridge's sister. Saturday evening Miss Andrea Thompson hosted a lovely shower in honor of Miss Annette Dick whose marriage forthcoming has been announced. Mrs Wilms Cane, niece of Mr tt Mrs Edward Kidder and her three children, Robert, Sally, and Sandy, Ogden, have been house guests at the Kidder residence during the past week. Mr & Mrs Edward Kidder were once again grandparents when a tiny 2Vi pound baby girl was born to Mr & Mrs Clifford Roach of ParK City. Mrs Roach is a daughter of the Kidders. On Friday, Aug. 10, Russell Westwood and Jan Vernon, of a Sandy, will be welcome-hom- e party honoring Beth Westwood and Suzie Summers of Sandy. Miss Summers was one of the students on the European tour who represented Jordan High School. The group of young people will spend the day at Echo Reservior water skiing and picnicking. Mr & Mrs Richard Westwood and Mr & Mrs Howard Huff of Spanish Fork have planned a week end of relaxation at the cabin in Bryant's Westwood Fork near Strawberry Harmon motored to Brigham City Sunday where they attended the tancaster reunion.
