Supt. C. N. J~msen, explained that the addition of the $57,000 to the school budget would not create a deficit. The funds would merely be the district's allocation under the new per capita futfd. I Sandy Lions Will Give Property To Their City At a meeting of the Sandy Lions club held Wednesday evening in the Lion's club room at the city hall, the club voted to turn over a suitable portion of the Lions club property, located at Tanners flat in Little Cottonwood canyon, to Sandy City. The city can receive federal aid, and with the help of a C C C Camp, · the site will be improved and equiped with play facilities and everything necessary for a community recreational center. The club is also sponsoring a new atte:ldance contest, having been divided into three groups. The two losing groups will entertain the members of the winning group and their partners at a party to be held on the club site in Little canyon, in June.
