Midvale, retiring stake clerk who served as clerk of Jordan stake for 27 years and clerk of East Jordan stake for over 7 years, was held at Sandy recreation hall 'l'hursday evening with President Heber J. Burgan in · charge. The program included: congregational singing, under direction of Elray Christensen; prape.r, William S. Dimond of West Jordan; instrumental music, Elray Christensen, Wilford Pierson, Gordon Ohlson, Harold Bradley and Harold Bjork, accompanied by Miss Gladys Rasmussen; welcome address, President Heber J. Burgon; vocal duet, Miss Freda Jensen and Miss Eva Crapo; vocal trio, Willa Stokes. Lenora Aylett and Alice Todd of Midvale, accompanied by Miss Florence Todd. Speakers were Joseph M. Smith of Draper, Patriarch vr1. D. Kuhre, Carter E. Grant and Soren Rasmussen of Sandy, David T. Dahl of West Jordan and Reid Beck and John A. Aylett, members of East Jordan stake presidency. All spoke of the devoted and untiring service rendered by Mr. Lind. A letter written by John Wells of the presiding bishopric to Mr. Lind was read by Reid Beck. The benediction was offered by Zachariah Butterfield of West Jordan was enjoyed. Mr. Lind was presented with a purse and Mrs. Lind with a potted plant. The presentation was by Jobn A. Aylett. stake.
