Palmer of South Jordan that their son, Elmer, has been released from the Australian mission and will leave for home on the 22nd of February and expects to be in California March 13. Mrs. Vila Stohl and little son spent the week in Salt Lake, special guests of Mrs. Millie Richie. Mrs. ~ydia Bateman joined a party of relatiVes from Brigham City and Salt ·Lake Saturday morning and motored to American Fork, where a breakfast and dinner par·ty was held at the horr,e of Mr. anu Mrs. James vVight in honor of M:c. Wight's birthday E.nn:ivetsary. Cove,·s were laid for twenty-three guests. Mr. and Mr-s. John Yates spent part of the week at Mona, Utah, where they went to atteJ?.d the funeral services of Mr. Yates' mother, who died at her son's home in Lark Tuesday night. 'lhe marriage of Violet Lancaster, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Lancaster, to Nelva Heaps of West Jordan has been announced. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Bateman and daughter Bonnie, Mrs. Lydia Bateman and Lucile Bateman were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. G. J. Bateman of Salt Lawe Friday night. Mr. Bateman left for Oregon Monday, February 10, where he will spend the summer. Miss Lucile Bateman joined a party of friends Thursday evening irom South Jordan and attended a farewell testimonial given in honor of Elder Wilford E. Edmonds of Salt Lake in the Third ward chapel and amusement hall prior to his departure on a mission to Norway.
