"A Merry Christmas To You" E LIVING IN THE GARDEN SPOT OF The WORLD MEETING TIME HOLIDAY LADIES AID I M PROGRAM READY SOCIETY MEET FOR COUNCIL EXCURSION RATES • Sunday morning at the regular time of meeting, 10:30 a. m. a Christmas program will be given by the Midvale Ward Sunday School. A large attendance is desired. At the Sacrame;nt held in the eve;ing appropriate Christmas numbers will be furnished by the Sunday School. The Relief Society furnished the program at the Sacrament meeting Sunday evening Dec. 18th. President J os. M. Holt of the W. Jorda,n Stake was the speaker. Musical numbers were furnished by Billie Miller and Joseph Poulson. UNIQUE SWEDISH DINNER SER ED --------· ·-. CHiLDREf~ PART -~- IS PLANNED On Wednesday afternoon Dec. 28 in the Ward Amusement Hall a children's dance will be held under the direction of the Ward Recreation Committee. Monday evening Mrs. A. Elandson and Mrs. Osbey, who have rece,ntly come from Sweden, were the hostess at a dinner given at the home of Mrs. Oscar Olson on East Center Street. Covers were laid for 12. Out of town guests were Axel Soderberg, Clare Elandsone and Mrs. Eliason of Salt Lake City and K. Borg, of Sandy. trhe menu, decorations and style of serving were typical of Sweden and the dinner was greatly enjoyed by the people prese;nt. The Ladies Aid Society met in regular session Thursday. A umque feature of the program was a practical demonstration of the manipulation of the electric range. ~This was co;nducted by Mrs. (Welch of the Utah Powet" ~nd Light Company. Later tea was served.
