Edu~tional lnstitlJte of tM Weat Jordan State was held Stmday m the South Jordan ward chapel. Meetings were beld at 10 a. m. 12 ;45 a. m. and 2 p. m. Pres. J os. 14. Holt presided at all meetings. Sunday morning talkS were mad~ by Pres. Jos. M. Holt. Stake Su~rvi.~or of Religion Classes, James A. Bateman. President of each ward board of Education and Carter E. Grant one of the principles of the Seminary. At 12:46 officers of the Seminary Religion class es and teachers traitiing supervisor held a .su~cessful get together meet ing. Afternoon meetings were well attended. Talks were given by Pres. Jos. M. Holt; stake teacher training supervisor John Hansen and F. W. Fox of the Church Board of Education. Subject: What to teach and Human Nature in Religious Ed ucation. The musical program rendered during the day was very commen~ dable and appropriate which con~ sisted of group singing from West Jordan Ward. 1String trio Jo.rdan high school students: Solo, Miss Mariam Bennion; duet, Gladys Rundquist and Berniee Bateman. of West Jordan. The West Jordan Stake and the Ward Primaries put over a very successful entertainment on IWlednesday night in the Jordan Recrea~ tion hall. It was in the nature of a flower festival, represeting each season of the year in Song and in dance. This was the fir-st 'of its kind presented in this community and showed excellent care in its presentation. Wednesday Friday and Saturday evenings the ·Genealogical convention of the West Jordan !Stake was held in the South Jordan ward ch~ pel. Chairman Peter Frost was in charge of the meetings. Andrew K. Smith and Mrs. Taylor of Salt Lake were the main spea~ers. Thls convention was earried forward as a elaiJs. Demonstrations were given as to the correct way of Record- ing names aDd Jnak!Dg ~tries fn Temple sheets and Tempte reeo!ds. The interelt WJa41 keen and much valuable informatioi! wa.s gnen at these meetings pertaining to Genealogical work . A very enjoyable conjoint meeting of theM. I. A. of 'South Jordan ward was held Sunday evening the 4th of December. The Advanced Senior Class weN responsible for the pr.ogram which consisted of musical nmabe reudered by the B07den male ehOrua f San.dy, 111'8. Marie P.almer and Rosamond Holt of South Jordan. B. F. Grant of Salt Lake gave an interesting talk on how a testimony came to him. The SUDday School UDio:a meet;.. ID.g was held Suftday D.c. 11th at West Jordan Ward Chapel. A large membership of Sunday Workers were present and they were favored with the presence of Albert H. Beiser, General •Scretary of the Ghureh Sunday IS.ehoola. NOTICE The M. I. A. Union meeting for the Genealogical Workers and Religion class of the Stake will be held Sunday Dec. 18th at the South Jordan Ward Chapel at 2 p. m. Those interested· kindly take notice.
