Mr. and Mrs. David Shields, Miss 0 na Shields and Mr. and Mrs. William Hewlett of Sandy formed a party and motored to Mag;na and attended a bir thday party given in honor of Lee Bradford. Mrs. Hattie Mackay Mr. and Mrs. George Thaxton and Mrs. Martha Todd of Granger, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Naylor of Midvale, Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Palmer and Mrs. J. rancom of W. Jordan, Mr. and Mrs . .Ts.mes Shields and family and Mrs. Pete Robertson and son, Lowell, vis\ted this week witli Mr. and Mrs. Leo Palmer. Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Wardle of East Canyon visited here Tuesday with Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Stocking, Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Palmer, Elton and Vaughn Palmer of West Jordan and Eno Whea don spent Tuesday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Wardle. Mr. and Mrs. A,. J. Shulsen of West Jordan 'were . their week end guests also. Mr. and Mi:s. Levi Ribertson, Mrs. Mary Maynard, Mr. and Mrs.l William Newbold, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Soren Nie )son and Mr. and Mrs. Peterson formed a party with other relatives from various places and enjoyed an outing at Saltair July 24th. Mr. and Mrs. Ira Rasmussen of Magna are rejoicing over the arrival <lf a new babe born this month. Mrs. Rasmussen was formerly Miss Elva Naylor. Spceial Pioneer day exercises were taken up in the various Su:nday school c4tsses Sunday, July 24th. Pioneer days were discussed. Flags were distributed to the small children in honor of the day. ·M rs. Orlin Newbold is very mueh Improved after being ill the past month suffering of inflamma.tory rheu matism. Miss Floy Burke, who has been a guest at the Rosse home on West Cen ter street, left last week to return to her home in Los Angeles, Calif. Mr. Brunker was the head repair man of the sampling mill and was under a heavy ore bin when the motor car pin.ned him agl}inst one of the supports. He was born at Leavenworth, Kansas, Nov. 21 1888, Sudviving ere his mothe~, Mrs. Fre~ da Brunker, two sisters, Mrs. Grace McCreery and Mrs. Blanch Cannon Druce, all of Salt Lake and one brother, Frank, of San Fra.neiseo.
