The meeting was called to order by P. H. Madsen, chairman of the board of tmstes, and the call was read by clerk Lewis A;ideiso:i. W. K. James K. lloggnii and j Andrew Peterson spoke in favor of bond- j icg and David Sbaud opposed the move- ; uient, Mr. Ilougaard asked for ten minute in which to state his reasons why die bonding phould not be pushed at present, pre-sent, but the meeting became dUirderiy and it was Impossible for some time for any progress to be made; Ttie time foi discussion having been exceeded, balloting ballot-ing was declared in order and the judges were kept bnsy until tho closing of the ballot box. Groups of men discussed t!.e quet-tion pro and eon, all over the room, and considerable con-siderable noise was the natural result. The heaviest vote ever cast on a question ques-tion relating to school matter was polled. The vote stood as follows for bonding 121 against bonding t8 total 209. The winners were much gratified grati-fied at the result, and steps will immediately be taken by the trustees t carry out the will of the taxpayers, , |
