He also taught Gospel Doctrine classes for many years, all of which he did with joy and faith. He was active in civic affairs and was president of the Lions Club and Rotary International. He is survived by his wife, Marie Baker Beacham, of Ephraim; Garth Rand (Diane) Beacham of Santa Clara; Kathryn Dawn (David) Williams of West School. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of -day Saints, where he served as a bishop, a high council member. n. Latter- v The Crimson Heat Drill Team from Center Stage America of Ephraim and Manti participated in the production Stadium of Fire in Provos Cougar Stadium on July 3rd. It was an incredible experience, one that we will never forget, said MaryAnn Thomson, the groups director. Crimson Heat was selected as one of 1 5 school and studio teams in Utah to participate in the production. Crimson Heat was chosen for their many awards and high ratings in the Dixie Jam competition in St. George. They have been working hard on the routine all summer. On Friday, July 2nd the Garth Beacham Our beloved husband, father, 'grandfather, brother, friend and teacher died July 8, 1999 at home in Ephraim, surrounded by his family, after a long illness. He was born November 17, 927 in Cedar City, Utah to Bryant and Minnie Knell Beacham. He attended schools in Newcastle, Utah and in Cedar City. He married Kathryn Marie Baker, August 20, 1948 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Dr. Beacham was an avid scholar, graduating from Branch Agricultural College in Cedar City with an Associate Degree; from Utah State University with a Bachelors Degree in history; from Brigham Young University with a Masters Degree in Educational Administration; and from the University of Utah with a Ph.D. in Educational Administration. He held various positions in Utah educational circles. His career in education began at the Wellington Elementary School where he was a teacher. It was the first time they had all been able to do it with the other teams. The girls were commended on their technical accuracy and their determination as a team. They were also awarded as the team with the fewest mistakes at the rehearsal on Friday. Crimson Heat plans on making Stadium of Fire an annual event. She was born June 3, 1906 in Mayfield, Utah to Erastas Snow and Emma Sorenson Anderson. Married Lorenzo (Ren) Hansen May 20, 1931 in the Manti LDS Temple.
