Worthing's becomes very much interested in his younger brother, whom she has never met. She is naturally surprised when her guardians friend Algernon suddenly turns up and introduces himself as ward, Earnest. For 60 years critics and audiences have agreed that while Wilde was unraveling the comic complications of this absurd situation, he missed no opportunity for caustic comment on the artificial manners, morals, and customs of high society, and that every scene of this now classic comedy is liberally spiced with the wit and epigrams for which Wilde has always been celebrated. Fair time is fun time in Utah. County fairs bring people together with like interests where they can compare their achievements. They teach and stimulate the community in addition to providing interest and pleasure to the many fair goers. Good fairs are the result of good planning and sound organization. The Utah State University Extension Service has started organizing already for the coming summer with fair judging workshops. Approximately 600 volunteers judge Utah county fairs each year. So that all the judges around the state might have a similar philosophy of judging, an understanding of the standards expected, and increased confidence in worktheir judgment, this held were past shops week in Logan, Provo and Cedar City. At the workshops, USU Extension specialists discussed and demonstrated useful information on how to judge clothing, needlework, foods, home furnishings and child care projects entered in county fairs. The weevils scientific name is Rhinocylius Con-icuConicus was first released in Sanpete County in 1977. The summer of that year was very dry and only a few weevil survived. This past year Rhinocylius Conicus was released in three other places in Sanpete County, one in Ephraim, Mt. Pleasant and Moroni. Surveying them last fall showed that the weevil had survived and was spreading. Adult weevil lay their eggs on the buds and blossoms of the thistle. The eggs hatch in about one week. Larva feeds on the immature seeds three weeks then pupate and as immature adults continue to eat and develop. Musk thistle is not completely controlled by the weevil because of the nature of the development of musk 'thistle. Musk thistle develops flowers early, mid season and late. The late are flowers especially when controlling them by cultivation or hoeing. Applying herbicides should start early while the plant is small.
