E Riddle 75 former Manti 1 resident died at his home in Salt Lake City Sunday even even- ing Funeral services were held in Salt Lake on Wednesday and andin andin andin in Manti ManU on Thursday afternoon He lIe was born in Beaver Deaver FebI February February Feb Feb- I 25 1876 a son of Isaac and Mary lary Ann Eagles Riddle who were pioneers in Southern Utah Mr 11 Riddle received his form formal l education in Provo in including including including in- in three years in the BYU He was a 1 missionary to the thc Southern States from 1901 to 1903 He married Margaret 1 Ruby Ring in the Manti lanti temple November November No No- vember ember 1 I 1905 and they lived in Antimony and Springville be before before before be- be fore coming to Manti where they lived for 25 years At Springville Mr Riddle operated the first fish hatchery in the state He was active in church work being a superintendent of Sunday Sunday Sunday Sun Sun- day School ward teacher and temple worker in the Salt Lake temple Surviving are his wife Salt Lake City a son Reed Riddle Murray 1 a brother Charles Riddle Riddle Riddle Rid Rid- dle Salt Lake City a sister Minerva 1 Whitehead Beaver and five grandchildren His son Jack Riddle was killed on Okinawa Okinawa Okinawa Ok Ok- during World War Val II and Jacks Jack's widow is Mrs 1 Norma Christensen Riddle of Ephraim |
