Show Couple Married In Temple Rites Temple Service Unites Couple A Manti Temple ceremony solemnized the marriage of Eleanor P. P Kjar and Leslie L. L Madsen on Friday July President John D D. Rogers officiated officiated of or- in the presence of family members and close friends Following the nuptial rites members of the brides bride's family honored the couple at a wedding wedding wedding wed wed- ding dinner at the home of Mr and Mrs Richard Kjar in Gunnison Sixteen family members were seated at the beautifully set table centered with a large wedding cake in white and silver Colorful summer flowers flowers flowers flow flow- ers in the room added to the lovely setting The bridal pair left Wednesday Wednesday Wed Wed- for Washington DC D.C. where they plan to attend the national convention of county officials and visit with Mr Madsen's son Captain Arlyn R. R Madsen and family They will also attend the Worlds World's Fair in New York before returning returning returning re re- re- re turning to make their home in Ephraim A pre nuptial dinner was held in their honor July with Mr Madsen's family as hosts The event was held at atthe atthe atthe the home of Mr and Mrs Robert Robert Robert Rob Rob- ert in Ephraim The new Mrs Madsen has been a resident of Manti since 1934 when she married Ronald Ronald Ronald Ron Ron- ald M M. Kjar He died in 1946 She has been active in church and civic capacities and is presently serving as Deputy County Recorder The bridegroom is an Ephraim Ephraim Ephraim Eph Eph- raim native and the father of three children He married Chloe Rees in 1928 She died in February 1963 Mr Madsen Madsen Madsen Mad- Mad sen has served as bishop and andas as Sunday School superintendent dent and UA ll president in the Ephraim North Ward He is the present county as as- sessor Miss Kathleen Hansen became became became be be- came the bride of Mr Wallace S. S Buchanan on July 18 in rites performed at the Manti Temple Following the ceremony a wedding break breakfast was given at the Manti American Legion Hall by the grooms groom's parents Mr and Mrs Reuben L L. Bu Bu- Bu chanan In the evening the couple was honored at a reception in inthe inthe inthe the Gunnison Chapel The brides bride's gown was sheer organza over taffeta Satin embroidered lace flowers traced their way down the bodice and sheath skirt The bouffant skirt was two-tiered two and len floor floor h. h Her bouquet was a large white orchid with pink rose buds on either side in the form of a diamond ring Her crown was of pearl pearland and her veil was organza and lace A color scheme of pink and wine was carried throughout the reception The matron of honor was LaVoy Erickson with Coralee Keifer Anadel Hansen Diane Malmgren Peterson Phyllis Yardley and Linda serving as bridesmaids They were all attired in pink crepe dresses with overskirts and wine colored shoes Their head-dresses head were pink and wine The two little flower girls Pamela Keifer and Debra Olsen Olsen Olsen Ol Ol- sen were also dressed in pink with pink and wine head head- dresses The g groom groom om wore a white coat and pink carnation as did his best man Darrell Buchan Buchan- an Ushers were R.
