She went to see the eye doctor and to visit with her daughter, Wayne and Ruth Tuttle and family. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Olsen and two sons of Ogden and friends, Mr. and Mrs. Brining of Brigham City, spent Sunday with Glens mother, Mrs. Erma Olsen. r, Mrs. Nellie Mecham, a sister of Mrs. Lillian Frandsen, and Nellies daughter, Mrs. Gloria Cheriett and three daughters from Bountiful came to visit the Loomis Frandsens on Friday and went home on Sunday. Provo and Jean Lanier who now lives in Salt Lake City. Debbie Lanier, sister to Jean and Larry Lanier who live at the Washburn residence, also lives with Forest and Vemelda this year while she goes to Manti High School. Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Beal and family were in Spring City Sept. 21 to attend a missionary testimonial for Dale Sorensen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gorden Sorensen. Dale has been called to serve in the Montana mission. Theodore Staley, a former resident of Manti, was a visitor in Manti on Sunday. He lives in Murray. Mrs. Edna Lemon from Weston, Idaho and Mrs. Vera Mathews from Midvale have been visiting their brother, Rex Petersen. They attended Sunday School in the South Ward on Sunday. Robert and Darlene Pratt and six children came from Kearns on Saturday to visit Darlenes parents, Loomis and Lillian Frandsen. Mrs. Lenore Denison was in Nephi a few days ago. She visited with her daughter Gae Barry and Juneve Anderson and their two children from Tempe, Arizona came on September 20 to visit his mother, Mrs. Mina Anderson. They stayed a few days and then went to Iona, Idaho to visit with Juneves parents and grandchild. This makes the 20th for other relatives and friends. and her husband Sperry. While there she learned of Duaine and Gaes new great-grandchil- Mrs. Helen Nylund from California has been in Manti visiting her sister, Mrs. Margaret Turner, and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Hardle. I Recent visitors at the Forest Dona Peterson 3 Telephone V great-grandchi- Mrs. Virginia L. Gillespie and four children have been visiting her mother Mrs. Clara Larson. Virginias husband, Jim, went on to California but will return on Wednesday. The Gillespies will be here until after conference. They will go to conference in Salt Lake and also visit with Jims mother in Salt Lake City. The visitors live in Oklahoma. Attending Sunday School in the Manti South Ward on Sunday were Randy Stringham and a girl friend of his who are attending BYU in Provo. Randy is Reid and JoAnn Stringhams son. They live in California. Mrs. Julie Lowry was also here visiting with her brother Randy and the Janice Nielsons, grandparents to Randy and Julie. Walter Lowry was in- - volved with the National Guard that weekend. Also visiting the Janice Nielsons were a cousin and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Nielson from Ashland, Oregon. They are working with the Genealogical Library in Salt Lake City. Recent visitors at the Janice Nielsons were their daughter and husband, Dean and Mary Lou Cluff and three children from Westminster, California. Attends ROTC Summer Camp at Ft. Knox, Ky. Cadet Miel.ael J. Eddleman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Dyreng ot Manti recently attended the basic Army Reseivc Officers' Training (ROTC) carcp at Ft. Knox, Ky. Cadets received six weeks of practical nnh( irv trininp de- - signed to prepare them advanced ROTC courses. Cadet graduate and is Brigham Home frn for Eddleman is a 1975 of Manti High School now a student at Young University at Provo. iULj WED., OCT. 8 PAPA PETE'S PIZZA Vernon and Elaine Schmidt have just returned from a trip to Salem, Oregon where they visited their son and his family, Mr. and Mrs. George Zoller. Mr. Zoller is a deputy sheriff in Salem while attending the university to study law. The Schmidts went along the Columbia River and visited Portland, Oregon. They visited a brother and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Anderson. The Schmidts left on their trip on Sept. 20 and returned home last Saturday. When they arrived back in Salt Lake City they visited Elaine's two sisters and their families. In Provo they visited their daughter Carol and her two children. They will return to Manti on Wednesday and visit Mina until Saturday when they will return to Tempe. their son Merril who lives in Duaine Mr. and Mrs. Henry Colby have recently been to Tucson, Arizona for five days visiting a son, Edwin J. Colby and his wife and family. They attended Edwins sons farewell to serve a mission to New York in the Eastern States Mission. They have also been to Idaho Falls recently to see their first blessed. They also visited their daughter Edna and her husband, Evan Despain who live in Idaho Falls. Going with their parents were sons Norman, Bill Edwin and daughter Ruth and grandson John Junior. They spent some time visiting with other relatives and friends in Manti and Mt. Pleasant before returning home.
