I know because I have piled-u- p in several ditches because I couldn't stop. The intersections are dangerous and especially when they are slick. Then there was the oil company executive who spoke once of the stupidity of 450 horsepower just to drive to the corner grocery store and back -- - then complain about the gas mileage. Jennifer Crosland is the daughter of Stephan and Jackie Crosland. She recently graduated from Manti High School and wishes to continue her education at Snow College, where she has received an academic scholarship. She then plans to attend I hall State University, majoring in Elementary Education. Jennifer has been active in softball at Manti in all four years of her schooling, having received the Academic award. She has also particiAll-Sta- te pated in basketball, chccrleading and drill team. As her talent for the evening, she will perform a piano composition entitled, rious Story. Cu- plans to attend Snow College and Southern Utah University in the future and obtain a degree in Psychology. Joni has been a cheerleader at Manti High School for three years and has been on the high school softball team. She also was the 1st attendant in the FFA Pageant. Joni enjoys gymnastics and dancing as well, and will perform a dance to Good Time Tonight, choreographed by Lauri Canalas, for her part in the talent exhibition that evening. Amber Pierro, a daughter of Steven and Denise Pierro, is a recent graduate from Manti High School. Amber will attend Snow College this fall and hopes to obtain her Associate Degree in General Education and then further her schooling in the field of History. She has been actively involved in Snow College now has 2 LDS stakes; new building now under construction By Roger Baker Snow College, which prior to March, 1985 had no student LDS stakes, now has two. Prior to that date there was not even an Ephraim Stake. The LDS stake in South Sanpete 1 years ago was the Manti Stake and included five Ephraim wards, four Manti wards, a Sterling ward and five Snow College wards. Now, with 11 years of rapid growth, Snow College has its second stake. The dramatic growth 1 1 years ago first separated the Manti Stake into the Manti, Ephraim and Snow College Stakes. This was March 24, 985. Now further growth has created a second student stake in Ephraim. The President of the new Snow College Second Stake, Richard Wheeler of Ephraim, was sustained in a stake conference on April 28, under the direction of Elder Joseph P. Wirthlin, of the Church's Quorum of the Twelve. David Willmore was sustained at the same conference to continue as President of the First Stake. Upon taking a course through Snow College this summer, she will fulfill her requirements for graduation, completing school a year early. Follow ing her graduation in the fill, she will attend Dixie College where she will train in Aviation, preparing herself to become a flight attendant. Throughout her schooling, she lias been a member of the band, placing first in state competition. She was also involved in a teen program designed to work with child abuse and domestic v iolence.
