J McArthur McArthur McArthur Mc Mc- Arthur were informed by the U. U S S. S Defense Department that their son Spec 4 Brent Hal McArthur 23 was killed Thursday In a Viet Cong at attack attack attack at- at tack on a US U.S. camp McArthur was serving on guard duty at the camp when the attack came his parents were told The Mt Pleasant soldier had been Involved in intense combat most of the time since arriving in Vietnam six months ago May 18 Mr and Mrs McArthur said He enlisted in the Army Dec 10 1968 and received basic and advanced Infantry training at Ft Ord Calif He served in Vietnam with Company Company Company Com Com- pany A 1st Battalion 1st Air Cavalry Brent Hal McArthur was born July 21 1946 at Mt Pleasant a son of Evan J J.
