L Glen Anderson Mr 11 Nelson died in the Veterans Veterans Veterans Vet Vet- erans Hospital July 10 following an extended illness of leukemia He Ile was born May 24 1912 in Bear River City a son of NAlma N N. Alma and Rose M M. Nelson lie married Maurine Larsen in the Manti ManU Temple September 22 1942 The pa past t two years he had been studying for his doctorate in the field of Educational Administration Administration Administration Ad Ad- ministration at the Un University of Utah and also taught at that institution Prior to this he was wasa a graduate of the Utah State Agricultural College at Logan LoganI I and md did graduate work at nt t the h e Brigham Young University the University of Southern Idaho at Pac Pocatello at ella and at nt V Weber ber College in Ogden He lIe was a teacher in jn Manti ManU Ugh High School Cedar City High school Weber High school and principal in the l Milford lford High school He lie helped organize a school at the Topaz Re-location Re center during World War Val II and taught there for ten months He was a director of the L D S i Institute in Flagstaff Arizona and opened the first Seminaries Seminaries Sem Sem- in the history of t the h e church at Holbrook Winslow and find Joseph City Arizona He served as a leader in the Elders quorum and in the Quorum of Seventies of or the Manti South ward During his work in the InstItute Institute Institute tute at Holbrook he served in all the ward organizations of or the i church He was Explorer and i Jr M 1 Men l Leader in Manti and Supt of oC the 11 in the I South ward for Cor a number of i years A mission for the church took him to Brazil where he served for 33 months A veteran of the Korean conflict and of oC World War Val II he attained the rank of Captain was v a member of the Army Re- Re while serving as as Chaplain He serve Unit at Fort Douglas Funeral Prelude and postlude music for the funeral was by Eunice Garbe Other music included a vocal quartet by Alma Carlisle Jake Keller Douglas Keeler andLee and andLee andLee Lee Anderson and vocal solos by hy Albert Albeit Antrei Kenneth Williams Williams Wil Wil- liams and Karl Keller with Mrs 1 Garbe Carolyn Reid a and n d dRuth dRuth Ruth Anderson as accompanists Speakers were Bruce Jennings Jennings Jennings Jen Jen- Dr Sherman Thorpe of Ogden Dr Lowell Bennion of the U.
