T Lincoln son of the Great Emancipator came to Vermont to make his home at Manchester A marker now stands on the lot in Bennington Bennington Bennington Ben- Ben where William Lloyd Garrison lived and where he edited the Journal of the Times early in the century Also Bennington was the birthplace of John F.
