Lake City, Utah, Feb. 1, 1889. (From Our Correspondent A Chester. Music Store. The Inauguiation is right upon us, hurrying and pushing us to such an extent that there are no means of escape. This is evident throughout the c.tv. Everybody is making ready for the event in his own wav, from the President to the corner grocer, from the first lady of r who is the land lo the concocting diaphanous delusions for the Inaugural ball or the always board. ng house keepei, who hopes to make a snug little puise off the Inauguration visitors who aie sure to come Large reviewing stands have been erected on Pennsylvania avenue between the Capitol and the White House, each one of which will accommodate hundreds of people, and on which a seat can be had for about two dollars. Windows on the line of the parade which will accomodate ten persons, rent for $ too. In others you can secure a seat for 55- Or if you are a man and not too proud to stand on the side walk like thousands of other people will do, you can see the Inaugural procession free. Bustle, confusion, and the busiest preparations may be seen around the headquarters of the Inaugural Committee. The Committee on ball and parade, subcommittees, officers and aides are receiving instructions, and rules have besn issued for the inaugaral ball Considerable discussion was occasioned by the statement on the ball ticket that'ffull But the authoridress was required. ties were consulted, and made to understand that such proviso might keep many away who had intended to come and who could not conveniently procure the wedding garment. So in chari ty it was agreed that the expression might be construed to men tnat full dress was requested or desired, but that a Prince Albert would be considered full dress for the time. And you may rest assured there will be some coat that will be present also; the only strictly prohibited is the overcoat. I do not think it would be quite safe to run the gauntlet in that garment. The Pension Building, in which the Inaugural ball will be held, is surrounded for various by temporary purposes connected with the ball and the interior for some weeks past has been a workshop wilh a confusion of gas pipes, electric wire, scaffolding, etc I he rough work is now completed and the decorations are in progress, though as yet but iittle order has been evolved from the chaos.
