All this information has been industriously sought, carefully tested and proved, and told in one handv and is bnl liamly haud'-omvolume by Oi esune Rerlus, the famous French C: giapher and Savant. I he author has really succeeded to a surpi ising degree in accomphshmg lis It is a wonderful book and purpose there is no other like it. It is just what its title represents it to be a book all around the world but it is a W'orld seen inrough eyes of the largest intelligence and described with inimitable vigor, fies'm iess and picturesque grace, com bmed with studious and painstaking accumcy. The results is the story ol tiie wo: Id The more the volume is looked into the. greater is the sense of its wide scope and its masterly preparation. Attractive reading for the family g.vliercd around the evening lamp, it is also a handy book for immediate refer-anc- e lor the busy man who would illuminate his daily news with more accurate information. In brief, a great deal ot hard work, painstaking and skill have gone into the preparation of this volume w hich is no catch-penn- y concern, pre entiig a huddled mass of pitchfoiked fact; to the t innocent reader under t'm encyclopedic information. It is what it professes to be, a sliott view f all the countries and peoples under Tie sun, so arranged and digested that a gieat deal of interesting and useful knowledge is packed handily in a limited space. While a child would never tire of the fascination tf the facts illuminated by 371 illustrations of which 99 are full pages, the most thoroughly read man will find on every page something, of which he never realized so fully as when a geogiaphical expert presents it with scientific effect in attractive phraseology. The man who prepared this work is a genius in such There are no weak spots in it. The publishers have done their best f. t the mechanical part of the work and their enterprise leave nothing to be desired in that respect. The J. Dewing Company, 813 Market St San Francisco., Cal,, are the sole agents for this work this side of the Rockey Mountains and all applications for agencies should be addressed to them. 1 Tl--ina- The Ladies of Manti and vicinitv are invited to call and sec how thfi ,i' Carpet is made.
