Said he wanted to spend more time singing. There was a guy, a defensive end, who said he wanted to play more. We put him in and he play well for three games. Then he quit the team so he could tour Southern California with the band. Then there was the guy who had his girl friend come to football practice. When the team would take an ice break, he & his honey would cuddle down by the goal posts. The kid never became much of a player. I guess his mind was on other things. There are players in the N,B A. who are uncoach-abl- e. How would you like to be Alan Iversons mentor? First of all he only . . posse with him. It wouldn't do any good1 to put in an offense, because..' once the game starts, be .does . his own thing anyway. He; has never seen a shot he. doesn't like and he wouldnt pass the ball if he gorcaught in a manure storm. 1 ? He hasn't listened to a coach since he was 12 years-ol- d, and only then because, his coach was complementing him. How could you coach Latrell Sprewell? If you taught him the finer nuances of the game, he won't listen or do them either. If you get on him or discipline him, he will choke you - what a athlete!! How could you coach Charles Barkley? He doesn't stop talking long enough for a coach to tell him anything. If you try to tell him too much, he will quit the team . What a joke. Barkley was once known as file round mound of rebound. Now he is affectionally called the round mound of pronouns. Mostly "I" and . "me. How would you like to be Jerry Sloan, and spend every game & practice trying to beg Ostertag to rebound? What a life. No ' wonder Jerry likes to drive - his tractor. . Do you think he could coach Shaquille ONeal? If you said something to him, . be might smash you like a bug. Some guys are hard to i coach. v Simon says: "Mary Albert, the N.BA. . announcer, was in a limousine wreck. He had bumps, brmses and a concussion, but his toupee was not injured 0.
