Mrs. Bayes was the widow of John Bayes, former B and G conductor and longtime resident of the B and G Row here in Magna. Mr. Bayes died in 1946. Mrs. Bayes was born June 4, 1858 in Quincy, Illinois, was a member of the Methodist church and the Rebekah Lodge and was a very popular member of those circles her in our community. Mrs. Dolly Brewer is a niece of Mrs. Bayes. Sincere sympathy of the community is extended to Mrs. Brewer and the rest of the family.
