Spencer Taylor Numbered among the outstanding mid-Jun- e weddings was the ceremony which united Miss Doris Dimond, popular young daughter of Bishop and Mrs. E. R. Dimond to J. Spencer Taylor, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Arnold Taylor, all of Magna. The young couple exchanged marriage vows Monday, June seventeenth in the Salt Lake L. D. S. temple. Nicholas Smith, church .official, performed the ceremony at one oclock in the afternoon. The wedding rites were witnessed by Robert Edwin Dimond, of West Jordan, grandfather of the bride, her parents, the grooms parents, and the brides aunt, Mrs. Beatrice Dimond. Miss Doris was lovely in a white satin model and had a corsage of talisman roses and sweet peas. At the wedding dinner she wore a powder blue ensemble with white accessories. A wedding supper was held at six oclock that evening at the Lion House social center. Covers were laid for nineteen guests at a beautifully decorated table with low bowls of spring flowers. The popular bride has been the motif for a number of socials given during the past several weeks by hostesses Mrs. J. A. Taylor, Mrs. Clarence Mitchell and Mrs. Leone McGill, Mrs. Macel Duckworth of Magna, Mrs. C. A. Nelson of Midvale, Mrs. Delna of Garfield and Mrs. Viola B. Jones of Bacchus. They will make their home in Garfield. Mr. and Mrs. Garland Puzcy and son of Tremonton, Utah are visiting during the summer with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Bezzant and Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Puzey. Mr. Puzey is an instructor at the Bear River high school. A group of young friends entertained at a surprise party Monday evening for Miss Nina Benson at the home of her aunt, Mrs. Helen Fitzgerald. Miss Benson is leavings soon for her parents home in California after attending the Cyprus high school during the past year.
