JAN. 19 Hunter Ward presented its annual Music Festival Wednesday evening during the regular MIA time. Tom Sandquist was master of ceremonies. LaRue Williams, activity counselor, was chairman of the program, assisted by Jonny Nay. A variety program was presented, consisting of piano, dances, vocal numbers, readings and skits for a total of twenty-eigh- t selections. Whittier STUDY GROUP MEETS Mr. and Mrs. Dick Curtis entertained on Sunday for members of their study group. The lesson was presented by Dick Amos and refreshments served. ER The Hunter Third Ward Primary annual party Friday proved most successful at the ward center, Mrs. Blaine Buckner, counselor in the Primary presidency being in charge. SWIMMING COURSE Scouts of the Hunter Second Ward, under the leadership of Boyd Willden, scoutmaster, and Arnold Smith, assistant scoutmaster, are participating in a k life saving course at the Jackling Pool. The boys go each Thursday evening and 19 out of 21 are taking the special instruction. They recently enjoyed winter camp near the Alpine Loop, hiking to the Ray Anderson cabin in deep snow. CHANGES Hunter Ward has made a change in the YMMIA superintendency, releasing Mr. Elwood Peterson, inasmuch as he was recently appointed a counselor in the stake MIA. Succeeding him will be Jonny Nay. Gary Foutz and Joe Liddle are counselors. and baby daughter, Jennifer, have been visiting Mr. mother, Mrs. June Andreason, leaving Friday for Rexburg, Idaho, to visit Mrs. Andreasons parents. Mr. Andreason, stationed at Fort Bragg in the Airborne Division, will be released from the service in June, 1972. J NEW TEMPLE TRIP Hunter Second Ward, under the sponsorship of the MIA, took two busloads of youth and older members, along with private cars, to see the Provo Temple Wednesday evening. The Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Searle and Mrs. Aaron Doxford arranged to take the Hunter Ninth Ward Deacons' Quorum to Provo Saturday to see the new Provo LDS Temple. Young men attending were David Philpot, Gregory Fatzinger, Mike Warner, Jeff VanRIJ, Jeff and Glen Christison, Jeff Bradley, Larry and Joe Doxford, Steve Lee and Richard Yeates. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Philpot Jr. arrived home the past week from White Sands, N. M accompanied by their new daughter. Maternal grandparents, Bishop and Mrs. Dee Doxford and paternal grandparents, Mr, and Mrs. Robert Philpot, were anxiously awaiting their arrival. Now the Army starts you at $288.00 a mo. Born Jan. 27, 1906, in Granger, he was a son of August and Martha Aurora Albrand Leh- MR. LEHMAN kins Dec. 17, 1924, in the Salt Lake Temple. He was a retired Kennecott Copper employe, having worked for 43 years; Elder in the Granger 12th Ward. Survivors Listed Survivors include his widow; son, daughters, William F.
