Nobody cares for you when you get to the point you cant take care of yourself. It was comforting to us to find there were people who do care and who will help when you reach the point that you cant do for yourself any longer. This describes the people at the Golden Manor Nursing Home in Granger. To our mother, Zoe Lewis, the Golden Manor was home. On holidays and at different times we would bring mother home for dinner and to spend some time with the family. As soon as dinner was finished, she would want to return to what she felt was her real home, the Golden Manor. No matter what time of night we went down to see her, we found her well taken care of many times when she was especially ill, we found a nurse with her arms around Mom, holding her and giving her love and reassurance until her family could come to her side. We write this letter, not only to pay tribute to the Golden Manor for the services they render, but to express our heartfelt gratitude. As it is written in the New Testament, Inasmuch as ye do it unto the least of these, my brethren, you do it unto me. These words best express our feelings for these wonderful How people. Inter-nation- al Lyndon B. Johnson to sign the Omnibus Bill Large Crowds Attend Stake Conference are required to walk by faith and through this faith, we will have the strength to obey the laws of our Father in We heaven. We have been promised the opportunity to be like our Father if we keep His commandments, constituted a portion of the remarks made by President Charles R. Canfield at the East Stake conference on Sunday. President Canfield also stated that no one would be able to live with the Heavenly Father and other restrictions would be placed upon all if they do not obey the laws that He has given. President Douglas H. Jenkins admonished the membership of the stake with the statement, "Do not judge others. However, we should stand back, take a look at ourselves and see where we stand. Ask yourself, What do I contribute to my family, to my friends, what good do I do, what bad do I do? Yes, we have not been called to judge others, but we have several criteria for measuring ourselves. ' We do not fully understand the program of the church, stated President William B. Martin, unless we reason with the love and understanding that would be given if all aspects of the program are followed. For each, there is a blessing if they live humbly and accept the calling which comes through membership in the church. LaMar Maddy, Ted May, Wayne Smith and Vern Obray of the Oquirrh East Stake High Council gave short, but inspirational talks. Those at the conference enjoyed the testimony of Laura (Tillie) Wilkin, who was called from the audience and gave an inspirational talk. Music for the conference session was furnished by the Spencer Third Ward choir, conducted by Alice Gourley, Mary Smith at the piano. We can tell you truthfully, and from experience and having observed this home for the last three and years, that we have nothing to fear.
