Birthday Announcement Wanda Peel Beck The children, grandchildren and of Wanda Peel Beck will celebrate her 80th birthday at a family party Saturday, June 22. ' Wanda was bom June 21, 1922 in Spanish Fork. She is the oldest child of Frank and Jessie Peel. She had one brother. Dee Peel. She received her education in Magna, where she has resided en most of herlife. wodd.. '1 can never remember a time when my mother was not doing something," said daughter Nancy Smith. "If she is not working on her talents in the arts and crafts, she will be working on genealogy or reading a good book." Wanda married Lloyd L Beck on Sept. 18, 1940 in the Salt Lake Temple. This year they will celebrate their 62 wedding anniversary. Throughout the years, Wanda has worked diligently behind the scenes while Lloyd actively and generously gave service to the community, Cyprus High School and the LDS Church. Her unselfish support gives artist, whose talents have enriched the lives of those around her. She oil paints, (toes ceramics, porcelain dolls, crochets, embroideries, knits, quilts and sews. Wanda and Lloyd are the parents of five children; D'Ann (Nick) Luke, Nancy (Courtney) Smith, Bonnie (Lou) Harris, Wayne (Patti) Beck, and Kent (Cindy) Black. They have 14 grandchildren, 10 grandchildren-in-law- , 22 and three new babies expected in t he next few months. Wanda's greatest joy in life is her family. We have many schools on the year round program that are still conducting classes. Please drive your vehicles slower in these areas to insure the safety of our children. With the nice weather sometimes children are not paying attention to what is going on around them and do not follow some of the safety rules that parents and teachers have taught them. The staff and the principal, Luana Harvey are doing some marvelous things at Monroe. They recently went Elementary their last day of school on Friday by enjoying a presentation on the culture of the Pacific Islands. Monroe Shorland and Helen Hunsaker house with another couple in Pacific Grove, Calif., close to the base until he was transferred to th e Presidio in San Francisco. A few months later he was sent to Korea and Helen returned home to live with her parents. They currently reside in Sandy. They are they parents of six children, Jane, Shorla, Jimmy, Dudley, Susan and Randall. They have 13 grand Shorland and Helen Hunsaker are celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary. They were married June 20, 1952. Helen (Lehman) Hunsaker was bom and raised in Granger. Shorland was raised in Honeyville. The couple met in New York City while serving missions for the Church of Jesus Saints. Christ of Latter-da- y They returned home at different times and began dating. After a whirlwind courtship and engagement Shorland left for the Army. When he came home on furlough, five months later, they were married in the Salt Lake Temple.
