Hunter Plans Late May Date For Park Event Midway, Athletic Competition To Feature Celebration The Hunter Recreation Park committee states that details are now being arranged for a gala celebration in the latter part of May, and a definite date will be announced in a later edition of this paper. Featured for the event will be a midway, athletic competition consisting of races and a ballgame. Dinner will also be served and a dance enjoyed. A gala time of fun is planned for everyone attending and also raise funds to complete the new baseball field. He resided at 5698 West 2500 South. Mr. Lloyd was born May 13, 1929, in Magna, a son of Harold C. and Lillian V. Hanson Lloyd. He married Iris R. Molyneux September 5, 1949 in Salt Lake City. He was a member of the LDS Church. In 1949 he served with the U. S. Both the band and the chorus received a rating of 1 which is the highest given. Those rating II were the marching band, vocal soloist, Lynn Harrison, the male quartet, the mixed vocal ensemble and the brass ensemble. Til ratings were received by the horn quartet, string ensemble, horn solo and trumpet solo. Extensive praise was also accorded other participating schools including Park City, Wasatch, Morgan,' Tooele, Davis, Murray, South Grantsville, Bingham, Summit and North Summit. Soloists and others tor Cyprus included: I" rating, vocal soloists: Mary Slater, Lamont Angelesy, Gwen Oakeson and Kelly Pearce; the girls double trio, clarinetist, Loel Hepworth and a clarinet quartet. The event was under the direction of Dr. John W. Fitzgerald, chairman and Johp P. Manning, director of the Cyprus high schooi music department Judges for the occasion were Dr. David Shand, University of Utah, in charge of vocal participations; Dr. N. W. Christensen and J. Philip Dalby, USAC and Ronald Gregory, U of U, for instrumental.
