Show V MAGNA TIMES, MAGNA, UTAH VIOLENT RAIN STORMS SUNDAY CAUSES FLOOD NEAR GARFIELD A small cloudburst, "very usual weather in this vicinity for this time of .year, was caused Sunday by the intensive and heavy rain south of Garfield. The rain washed mud and gravel several feet deep over a stretch of U. S. highway 50, east of the junction of highways 40 and 50, west of Garfield. The small flood caused diversion of westbound traffic through Garfield Sunday night. State' road crews cleared deposits from a smaller and earlier flood about 3 p. m., but the second cloudburst littered the road again at 7:15 p. m. sen, was in charge.
