Show SERVICE STAR LEGION LE-GION ENTERTAINS GGLBSTAR A most importunt ami Impressive function took place at tlic Chamber of Commeico Thursday, May C, when the LoKnn chapter Survlco Star Legion entertained th5 Oold Star division di-vision of the organization, The first number on tlio program was a solo by Mrs. Unscoo Carlson, followed by prayer by Mrs. Georgo Q. Well. Picsldent C. J. M. Trot- I man then Introduced Mrs. Lois Hay- J ball who delivered a stirring ad- I dress. Mrs. Hayball said In part: 1 "Today humanity the world over, is I casting about for ways and means 1 to enable clvillzntlon to go on and 9 up without the use of machine guns ; bombs and submarines. Mrs. I Trotinnns address to the representatives representa-tives of the Gold Star families was so charged with lovo and sincerity that all present wero awakened allow to tho sacredness and responsibility responsi-bility of Service Star Legion service! Ileautlful white carnations were presented to the Gold Star members as a token of remembrance of those i who gavea their lives In the cause of freedom.
