Show News From Hyde Park - X HYDE PARK, Dec. 27. Christ' mas passed away quietly,- but Joyously, Joy-ously, with no public festivities. Many family gatherings were held on Christmas day. The younger children not being permitted to associate as-sociate .together publicly, have spent more time is their own homes making mak-ing preparations for the advent of old Santa. Christmas trees seem to be' the order ot the day and many 'of 'our homea are adorned' with the beautiful evergreens of th moun- ,tkis. ' ' ' Although Xmas shopping has takes tak-es many of our' people to Logan. our. local stores have been kept busy. I Miss Maud Peterson has been help-, Ing our merchant, Mr. F. C. -Lee daring the holiday rush. Our citizens are now permitted to, go at large on public property without with-out the mask. The ban- on masks was lifted today. Our health authorities auth-orities are high in their praise .of the 'gauze mastt in the handling of the Influenza. Mr. Everett Hancy returned home Christmas eve, arriving Just in time to bring a Merry Christmas to all hte folks.. Everett has been in the radio section of the army, "and. says he is glad to be home for good., A dance la a novelty these days. Many of. our young people attended the Xmas ball in Logan. Mr. and Mrs. Lorenzo Eggerts have purchased, a farm south of town, and' will , makethelr future home here. Mr. James Balls has recently made a trip to the hay growing district-' ot Utah where he has purchased. a 'great deal of hay for local use.
