Show JOHN W; KNOWLES DIES AFTER LONG, : ILLNESS Mr. John W. Knowlca passed awa at his homo In tho Second ward Wednesday' Wed-nesday' afternoon at 1 o'clock. Or. 'September 26 ot this year he-was lv Jurcd by an automobllo whllo crossing cross-ing tho street. It was learned that his hip was broken at the tlmo but after an X-Ray picture had proved 'otherwise It was thought ho would get along all right, but bo has never recovered and died from tho effects of internal injuries received at that time. Mr. Knowlcs was sixty-eight yean old, having been born at Preiton, England, November 4, 1852. He came to this country when bu. a smah lad. Ho was married to Mist Hose Blair of Lewlston and to them wero born v cloven children, nine of whom survlvo him Mrs Knowlcs having hav-ing died about thirteen years ago. tlo has ono son Grant serving in tho I Marines located at present In tho Philippines. 'With this exception it Is expected,, all tho chUdren will bo here. Tho funeral services will be held Sunday In tho Second ward chapel cha-pel at 1:30 p. m, Tho remains may bo viewed atthe residence ot his brother, W. ,T. Knowles, 335 West First 'South' Saturday and Sunday morning. |
