Show FUNERALSERVICES HELD FOR MISS BLANCH SMITH i . Funeral services for Miss Blanche Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Smith of Cache Junction were held at Millville yesterday. The services wero conducted by Dlshop Jensen. The choir sang "O, My Father" very beautifully. The speakers wero Loreng Larson, R. A. Doudle, W. H. Griffin Jrr., and Bishop Rlgby of Newton and Mr. Ycales, T. H. Cutler and Thos. Wea-vor. Wea-vor. They all spoke of tho lovely qualities of the departed and extended extend-ed sympathy to the bereaved family, who were unable to be present on account of Illness. Music was fur-nlshed fur-nlshed by Mr. uud Mrs. Yeatcs, who sang "Unanswered Yet". A piano selection se-lection was given by Miss Weaver and a duet "Sometime We'll Understand" Under-stand" by Weaver Bros. The choir sang "I Need Thee Evory Hour". Tho benediction was offered by Mr. Yeates, Tho Oregon Short Line II. It. by whom Mr. Smith Is employed ran a special tiain from Cache Junction to Logan making connections with the south bound Interurhnn car. making it possible for friends at Cacho Junction to attend tho services. ser-vices. Interment was In Millville cem'eterv Blanche was born In Millville Dec. 7th, 1902 making her Just seventeen lest Dec. She has lived tho last fifteen fif-teen years iin Cache Junction and Logan. She graduated from giammer school from the Woodruff, .with, tho summer school class of 1917, and then attended the South Cacho High School and went to the Logan High School this yoar until just before Christmas when her health becamo so pooor the Doctor urged her to dlsontluue. Blanche was an exceptionally except-ionally bright girl and though forced to bo out of school on account of 111 hcaalth sho struggled bravely to keep up her studies and was alway3 cheerful and full of happy plans for tho future. When death comes to thoso who have passed their three scoro years and ten thero Is mourn-' Ing, for death never comes but what it brings sorrow, but with that sorrow sor-row there Is also resignation and understanding In a measuro but to sco this beautltful young girl taken in tho rose bud hours ot her girlhood brings grief that Is almoso beyond undestandlng. Her passing brings sorrow not only to hor relatives but to all -who knew her and her quiet old fashioned sweetness will be treasured a dear memoory In their hearts. To think or dream about her noow, Is like tearing souls apart. But when time has dulled tho keenness, keen-ness, Wo will treasure in our hearts. Evory thought and moinory of her, Every smllo and clasp of hand, Till tho day when we shall meet her In Gods everlasting land. |
