Show SAD DEATH OF I DR. E.J.MERRILL LASTJUHDAY Dr. E. J. Merrill of our city passed away Sunday at his residence In tho Fourth ward. Dr. Merrill has been sick for about three weeks, and up until a few days ago everyone In the family thought he was getting better. Last Monday, a week ago, however, he took a sudden turn for the worse and from this attack he never rallied. Dr. Merrill has been In poor health for several years, but he was one of those individuals who thought he could get better and from this strong determination he no doubt kept up his apparent health for a long time. Dr. Merrill was a perpetual student stud-ent of his own health. In addition he sought the best medical skill of our country, but to no avail. He has been practising osteopathy In our city for twelve years, and always enjoyed en-joyed an extensive practice, In fact, larger than his physical powers would stand for. Dr. Merrill dies in- the prime of h.ls life, being' but thirty-four years of age. (llo leaves a wife and two children and a large family who are grief stricken with sorrow. Ho was born In Richmond and was the son on the late Mariner W. Merrill, Jr., and Mrs. E. L. Merrill of this city. The funeral services will bo held In Richmond on Wednesday afternoon after-noon at 2 o'clock. Friends in Logan can view the remains at the family residence this afternoon from 12 until un-til 2 o'clock. The body will be taken to Richmond, Rich-mond, Wednesday morning and will lay in state at the home of August Schow from 11 o'clock until 1 o'clock |
