Ho had oxocuted many important private commissions, Including tho statuo of Carl Schurz hero, nnd works In tho homes of Collls P. Huntington, Cornelius Cor-nelius Vnnderbllt and other wealthy men. 1 lo designed tho Astor gates for Trinity church hero. Ho was a member of tho natlo'iiU Institute of arts and lottors and in ncadcmlclan of the national ncadomy of design.
