Show The Funeral. Funeral services were held In the Franklin meeting house last Sunday, the 20th. Tho services commenced by the choir singing "I Need Thee Every Hour;" prayer by W. Woodward, followed fol-lowed by the choir singing "Sister Thou Wast Mild and Lovely," The speakers were Joshua Hanks, Isaac II. Nash, Edmond ilucklcy, I. II. Nash and Htshop Hatch. All spoke well of the doparlcd sister, saying she was a good woman, full of faith in thegospcl. They spoke woids of comfort and consolation con-solation to the bereaved husband and motherless children and councllcd them to live the lives of Latter-day Saints. If they will prove faithful and true all will meet the loving wlfo and mothor,and meet to part no more. The Lowe brothers and company sang the beautiful song "Going Home." I. B.Nash sang"Sllently Passing Away.' Tho closing hymn, "Oh My Father," was sung by the choir with Elsie Webster Web-ster singing the solo, which was verv sweet and Impressive. Benediction was pronouncsd by Samuel C. Parkinson. Parkin-son. A good many relatives and friends in carriages followed the remains to tho cemetery, and owing to tho bad weather many stayed away. The dedicatory ded-icatory prayer was offered by Hlshop Hatch. Thus Sister Lucy was laid away In the silent tomb to await the morning of the r surrection when she will awakeclothed with immortality and enter Intornal life and dwell with tho redeemed forever. |
